India Post, under the Ministry of Communications, has invited applications for 21,413 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions across various postal circles, including 145 posts for Assam, offering a promising career opportunity in the government sector.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have successfully completed the 10th standard (Secondary School Examination) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized board.

Local Language Proficiency:

Applicants must have studied the local language as a subject at least up to the 10th standard to ensure effective communication.

Additional Requirements:
  • Basic computer knowledge is essential.
  • Candidates should be able to ride a bicycle for mobility in rural areas.
  • Must possess adequate means of livelihood to sustain themselves.

Selection Process:

The selection for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts will be based on merit, without any written examination or interview. The process includes:
